MAZURKA

Mazurkas are traditional polish dance. Chopin based 58 of his compositions on the Mazurkas, which he arranged the polish dance into a music composition. For his last 25 years, Chopin has kept on composing the mazurkas.

Personality

Mazurkas tend to have many repetitions of many sizes and scales. Although they were not for the actual polish dance, some parts of the music describe a movement of the dance, as Liszt said a few years after Chopin's death.
